Differences: Written and Spoken Text
Words in general have strength and can sway the minds of anyone.
Written text always has the effect of coming from black and white pages so it can be boring. With the advancement of newsblogs and information on the internet, customization of colors has made way into the normal. With colors and eye catching design written text can give a little more personality to the topic but never on a verbal level.
Spoken words can have a strong effect when used with certain tones. A simple 'hello' or 'goodbye' could effect you in completely different ways depending on how they are delivered. The effect of an exclamation mark coming from someone verbally is more dramatic than the symbol looks on paper. With a friendly tone you can capture the attention of people who might have not listened to what you have to say. A voice is a powerful tool.
Podcast Revision Plans
Peer:
Based on what Tom reviewed of my Podcast I have made some decisions for revision. I need to add some information to the text about recovery of HSDD. Also adding background music to my podcast will make it better.
Professor:
I need to work on a conclusion that wraps everything up and makes the project sound.

Rough Draft:
Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder is the lack of sexual desire for activity or fantasy for a period of time. With similarities to asexuality, HSDD can often be confused for it. HSDD is noted by distress and relationship difficulties.
People who will experience HSDD come from a wide demographic. Occasionally a person who is used to sex that gets into a relationship with someone who lacks equal desire will have HSDD. Since asexuals do not have sex or a sex drive, 'libido', they are still not all people with HSDD.

My responses
Response from Peer analysis:
Lauren Hollings did a peer review of the second draft of my Asexuality paper.
Her comments were nice and she gave me some confidence in how I'm doing so far. It was very reassuring. She also reminded me to add photos and color to the text, I can't seem to remember.
Lauren noticed that my conclusion was short and needed to be worked on, which was a fault that I had known about and wondered how apparent it was. I know that I need to fix that.
Response from Professor analysis:
Crystal reviewed my draft after 1000 words and gave me some sound feedback. A reminder that I use 'you' and other personal pronouns often was given. I tried reading through once, but I need to again.
Her question is exactly correct. I must not make it very secure sounding in my paper since she needed to do some guess work. I will make my facts clearer.
My lack of a conclusion was noticed. She goes on to remind me that it's more personal than general and that I might want to save that for reflection.
Another reminder that I was given was of my citations. I need to add the year to them instead of page markers.
Other ideas:.
Some things that I had talked about with people but wasn't found in these two responses were adding a reference page and helpful links to my page. I plan on adding links in a format similar to how the web-text is presented, under categories. The links will have descriptions, as well, describing where they will take you and what you can learn there.
Is it midnight yet? I think I did this in time.

Idea change
At first I had my mind set on using one of the three topics that I first posted about, and then I changed my mind. haha
So, I made my final decision on the topic of sexual orientation.
I spent my entire class time Monday making that decision and finding tons of links to reliable sources. I bookmarked all of them and then realized that those bookmarks do not save on this computer, so that's more than awesome.

Assignment
* State three topics in which you have an interest that you would like to write about this semester. What is it about these topics you find interesting? What is your connection to these topics?
* Identify a subject area you would be interested in researching this semester. Write everything you know about this subject and three questions that pinpoint what you don't. Highlight the keywords in those questions to use as search terms.
* Read/take notes/summarize and respond to one of the readings assigned by your instructor.
First, I almost missed this deadline, because I wasn't sure what to do until I realized that the message on Facebook was still in my Inbox. I am not worried about it though, because I think I can handle it. :p
The three topics that I am interested in, that I also think would be nice to write about, are skateboarding, music, and colors. My connection to skateboarding is that I enjoy skateboarding and have been practicing skateboarding for close to 4 years now. Music is very special to me since I love to sing and, as of recently, play guitar. My third interest is an odd one, but it's just colors. I am simply fascinated by colors and their connection with moods and feelings and also the art side of colors, of course.
I don't understand what I am supposed to choose from for this next subject. If anyone has suggestions over subjects I could use that might relate to my topics of interest, I'd really appreciate it. Then I can give this part of the assignment a true attempt.
Thanks :]
